Dr. Thomas Wilson was born and raised in Melbourne, FL. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL with cum laude recognition. He then graduated as valedictorian of his medical school class and received his medical degree from Barry University in Miami, FL.
Dr. Thomas Wilson is certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot & ankle surgery by The American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Thomas Wilson completed his Foot & Ankle residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center affiliated with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has extensive training in reconstructive and trauma surgery of the lower leg, foot, and ankle.
He performs all aspects of conservative care for lower leg pathology. He also specializes in elective forefoot and hindfoot/ankle reconstruction as well as wound care and infection management including diabetic foot reconstruction and advanced limb salvage techniques. Dr. Wilson also practices sports medicine and performs arthroscopic surgical techniques.
Dr. Wilson has published several articles in peer reviewed medical journals. He currently holds staff privileges at Viera Hospital, Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne Same Day Surgery Center, Melbourne Surgery Center, and the Health First Wound Center.
He enjoys all sporting activities and playing music. Dr. Thomas Wilson and his wife, Dr. Jessica Wilson, enjoy spending quality time together and with their family and friends.
